The belief that humans by having life are entitled to freedom and certain degrees of dignity is not new presently. The roots of human rights lie in the earlier tradition as well as documents of many different cultures. World War II catalyzed the birth of human and civil rights. In that era, the global fight for human rights and conscience was born.
